How to register for online repeat medication ordering
If you need your medication to be delivered, please support your local dispensary by using our in-house medication delivery service, rather than an online pharmacy. Medication can be delivered to your local shop or your home.
Dispensary Telephone Number: 01359 253701
SURGERY CLOSURE FOR STAFF TRAINING
The surgery will be closed from 12.30pm on Wednesday 6th April for important clinical education and training purposes.
Emergency cover will be provided by the 111 Out of Hours Service who will be responsible for:
- Telephone triage
- Face-to-face appointments at Drovers House in Bury St Edmunds
Please telephone 111 if you need these services
Repeat prescription requests will not be dealt with during these times so please ensure sufficient notice is given to enable the surgery to provide these for you prior to the practice closure.
The surgery will be open as normal on Thursday 7th April at 8am.
Coronavirus (COVID-19) – Update for patients
The dispensary telephone lines are open from 8am to 1pm and 3pm to 6.30pm.
You can also order your repeat prescriptions online.
If you can give the dispensary team as much notice as possible for your repeat prescription it would be most appreciated.
Please remember to wear a face covering when collecting your prescription and if you are experiencing any Covid symptoms such as a high temperature, persistent cough or loss of taste or smell please do not come to the surgery. Stay at home and request a Covid test either via the gov.uk website or by calling 119.
Thank you
We have enabled the prescription ordering module on our integrated online service so that our patients can access their medical records, book/cancel GP appointments and order repeat medications all from ONE system.
Our dispensing team will provide you with the details on how to use the new system. Please bring a piece of photo ID with you to enable us to confirm your identity when setting up your account. This is because the new system is directly linked to your medical record and the Practice must take necessary steps to ensure that access is being given to the correct person for data protection reasons.
Alternatively, you can download a copy of the form here along with the information leaflet and bring the application form along to the Practice with your ID when you next attend.

We require 48 hours notice for repeat prescriptions excluding Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays and a 28 day supply is issued
Medicines are supplied from the surgery for patients living more than one mile from a pharmacy. We cannot make up prescriptions issued elsewhere except from a dentist or the hospital and then only for patients registered at the practice.
Payment must be cash or cheque backed by a cheque guarantee card.
Repeat Prescriptions
We have a computerised prescribing system and your regular medication is printed on the slip given to you with your repeat medication. We require 48 hours notice for repeat prescriptions excluding Saturdays and Sundays and a 28 day supply is issued.
You can request a repeat directly from the website or present your repeat prescription side slip in person or by post. You can contact the Dispensary team on 01359 253701, however, they are unable to take calls between 12:30 - 2:30pm. Finally you may subscribe to the repeat prescribing scheme.
Sometimes you will be asked to see a doctor or nurse before any more repeat prescriptions are given. This is to ensure that the medication is still the right one for you. If you have difficulty collecting your medicines from the surgery we are able to leave your medication for collection at village pick up points in exceptional circumstances.
